PT Weda Bay Nickel

Since 2019, PT Weda Bay Nickel has been developing an open-pit nickel mining operation located in the Halmahera Island region, in the North Maluku province of Indonesia. WBN is part of Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) area.

PT Weda Bay Nickel’s workforce totals around 16,400 workers at the mine, all of whom are Indonesians, with 68% originating from North Maluku.
