Weda Bay Nickel (WBN) and its partner, PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP), are committed to advancing education in North Maluku, with a focus on Central Halmahera. Their initiatives include providing scholarships, literacy programs, and support for innovative teaching methods, making a positive impact in the local community.
Recently, both companies donated to SD Inpres Lelilef in Central Weda, Central Halmahera, by constructing a classroom, ablution facilities, and providing study desks for the students. The handover ceremony took place on October 11, 2024, with the presence of Indonesian badminton legends Liliyana Natsir, Tontowi Ahmad, and Marleve Mainaky, who inspired the students to pursue their dreams.
